Common questions
Everything you need to know about custom mascot blanket design, NubaySoft material, and how our in-house design team works.
Vector files (AI, EPS, SVG) are best because they scale to blanket size without losing detail. High-resolution PNG or JPG at 300 DPI or higher also work. If you only have a low-res file or a screenshot of a logo, our team can usually recreate the artwork from scratch at no extra cost; just send what you have.
We send 1 to 3 custom blanket mockups within 48 hours of your initial request. Revisions are unlimited and free until you approve a final design. Most schools land on a final mockup within 2 to 3 rounds of feedback over about a week.
On the D-Luxe NubaySoft (600 GSM) and Digital NubaySoft tiers, we reproduce detail down to individual fur strands on animal mascots, texture on helmets and armor, and gradient shading on athletic uniforms. The fabric weave is fine enough to hold the detail; the dye process locks color in so the print won't fade through normal washing.
Send us your school's brand colors (Pantone numbers if you have them, hex codes if you don't, or a photo of a jersey or banner). We match exactly. No 'close enough.' If you're not sure what your colors are, the design team can pull them from a clean image you provide.
We work with your existing logo whenever possible to keep brand consistency. If the file we receive is too low-resolution to print at blanket scale, our team will recreate it as a vector from your reference, then send you the redrawn version for approval before any production.
Most school blankets have three layers: the mascot as the focal point, the school name and year as secondary text, and an established date or motto as tertiary accent. Some schools add roster names for team-specific blankets or graduation year for senior class designs. The composition is up to you; we handle the visual hierarchy so it reads well at any distance.
D-Luxe NubaySoft (600 GSM, double-ply) is the most popular and is what we recommend for most mascot designs. Digital NubaySoft (single-ply) is HD photo-realistic for very intricate designs. Nubay Rapid Print (sublimated heat-press) is for fast turnaround. Swanky (1060 GSM) is our heaviest premium tier, best for keepsake and gift-quality blankets. All four print mascots photo-realistically; they differ in fabric weight and texture.
D-Luxe NubaySoft and Digital NubaySoft take 4 to 6 weeks. Nubay Rapid Print takes 2 to 4 weeks. NubaySoft Lite takes 6 to 8 weeks. Swanky premium tier takes 6 to 8 weeks. Production timelines depend on volume and current queue; we give you a specific estimate when you confirm the order.
Wholesale orders start at 50 blankets. Nubay Rapid Print has no minimum and offers quick turnaround with bulk pricing starting at 30 blankets. For presale fundraisers (where your community orders before production), there's no minimum at all; you only pay for blankets that have been ordered.
